We need sound and lighting stage production equipment! Every performance or show we host needs to have professional sound and light services. This can cost $1000 to $3000 per show! Owning our own sound and light equipment would save us $10,000 to $30,000 per year in production costs so we can keep the ticket prices affordable. The equipment will also be used with the Tuesday Night Music Club program where musicians gather twice a month to hone their skills as musicians, entrepreneurs, promoters, marketers, and small business owners. They will learn how to operate the equipment to enhance their own shows and be able to provide sound and light technical services for Albright Center performances. The total cost for needed equipment is $48,000. Could we raise 25% of that or $12,000 this year through Raise the Region? With your support and contributions - yes we can!
A GIFT THAT WILL KEEP ON GIVING! Gifted the former Albright United Methodist Church in 2014, Sunbury's Revitalization Inc.'s vision of a community arts center was born. Transformation of the 100-year-old magnificent building to a modern creative arts and community center is a long journey...but we are making great progress! Once complete, the Albright Center for the Arts will be a community and educational hub, a collective hive for local artists to promote creativity and innovation, and a regional cultural arts center that stimulates the economy in Sunbury and the Greater Susquehanna Valley.
BUILDING THE DREAM! With just over $2M invested in renovations so far, we are making the most of our usable spaces. The lower level banquet hall features a commercial kitchen and a small stage. It is perfect for weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, and conferences. It is home to the Tuesday Night Music Club. Established in 2025, the club is a place where music entrepreneurs find community, mentorship, and appreciation for their talents. Swing Dances are hosted here every month - a great way for people of all ages to experience the joy of music and movement! Although the lack of central heat and air conditioning is a significant challenge, the main auditorium (former sanctuary) has been proven as a performance venue. Spring and Fall concert series are planned including theatrical, musical, and comedic performances.
IMPACT MULTIPLIED! The impact of your contribution is multiplied beyond just one performance or program. Any and all proceeds are reinvested for future creative programming, facility improvements, and other community and economic development efforts undertaken by SRI such as the small business assistance program, support for creative entrepreneurs, downtown revitalization, neighborhood communities, and more. It's an investment in Sunbury's revitalized future!
