For 80 years, Herr Memorial Library in Mifflinburg has provided a family-friendly atmosphere that encourages literacy and lifelong learning. With more than 24,000 materials in our collection, patrons can choose from DVD's and audiobooks, children's discovery bags, family game boxes, stem bags, graphic novels, and of course - books.

However, today's library is about more than reading. Herr also offers a wide variety of programs for all ages, from infant to adult.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

* Storytime at the Herr Memorial Library helps teach both children and adults about early literacy. Through stories, crafts, and play toddlers and preschoolers learn vocabulary, fine motor skills, and social skills.

* The Baby Move and Groove class allows infants and caregivers to bond.

* Elementary school children do crafts and STEM activities throughout the school year and gather in the park for stories and more during the summer.

* Students in grades 3 - 5 complete STEM projects in Engineering Club.

TWEEN/TEEN PROGRAMS

The library's “Teen Space” features computers, a pool table, large screens for video games and movies, and a study room. Weekly programming for tweens and teens includes trivia, game, and craft nights that help foster social connections in a safe environment.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Herr also has many programs for adults, including the Special Stitches knitting club, a writer's group, the Novel Thoughts book club, a genealogy club, a beginner's sewing class, a computer lab, classes in digital literacy and one-on-one help with technology.

Herr Memorial Library truly has something for everyone, but we cannot sustain these programs and increase our collection without support. Your gift will help us continue as a staple of the community, providing a family-friendly environment for lifelong learning. Thank you!
