Lewisburg Neighborhoods - a community-based, livability-focused nonprofit serving the Lewisburg area

$500 goal

Lewisburg Neighborhoods exists to enhance the Lewisburg community through programming, advocacy, and grant-funded community projects. They collaborate with Lewisburg Borough and Bucknell University to enhance bicycling and pedestrian infrastructure, organize community clean-ups, solicit public comments on community issues such as park redesigns, road and traffic studies, and neighborhood revitalization and redevelopment.

Lewisburg Neighborhoods also puts on events aimed at strengthening our community and engaging with our river town setting - River Road holidays, the Polar Bear Plunge, Public Paddle, Slow Roll bike rides, and the Green Team.

Lewisburg is an integral part to the lifelong memories made as alumni of Bucknell and as of brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha. Much of Bucknell's charm can be attributed to the parks, downtown area, and general Lewisburg community that makes Bucknell possible, and there's no better way to give back than through Lewisburg Neighborhoods! Brothers of Lambda Chi have participated in the Polar Bear Plunge and Earth day cleanup and have gained a great deal of appreciation for the work it takes to keep our town running. I'm asking brothers and alumni to consider a small donation to the nonprofit that tirelessly works to make our home beautiful, clean, and exciting. Donations will be used to fund community events, facilitate clean-ups, and to upkeep parks and rivers.
