Door Security

The director expressed concerns that when staffing levels are low or she wants to be in the classroom to provide support, often no one is at the front desk to grant access into the building to parents, teachers returning from break, student helpers, etc.  The people outside often go around to the side doors and knock but this isn't ideal.

After discussing the details of many different options, the director and the board felt that a video intercom system with a mobile feature would be ideal for meeting the needs of the center.  It would still allow someone at the front desk and in the office to grant access into the building but through a special software/ app it also would allow someone on a mobile device anywhere in the building to grant access as well.  The person with the software/app can see and talk to a person at the front door from anywhere in the building.
