The Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association protects and promotes the health and vibrancy of the Susquehanna River and its tributaries across an 11,000-square-mile watershed, and the West Branch is a unique part of that region.

Historically tied to logging in Williamsport and numerous other industries farther west, impacted by abandoned mine drainage in numerous tributaries that lead into the West Branch, including the Moshannon Creek, our work along the West Branch to its headwaters is as unique as the issues and history that define the waterway.

Donations to this page will be earmarked for work in the West Branch region of our watershed, including youth programming and other awareness efforts as well as support for watershed groups and realistic solutions for various pollution concerns.

If you have questions concerning work in the West Branch, contact regional director Andrew Bechdel at MSRKAWestBranch@gmail.com
