Be the Change

Did you ever hear anyone say, “find your joy”? Joy can be found in everyday activities, random road trips, music, art, passionate work, and through volunteering. I have volunteered for several places over the course of my life: from churches to schools, extracurricular activities, the local theater, foundations, and now, Eat Share. Nothing feels better or brings me more joy than the time I spend with other volunteers and the people who attend events hosted by Eat Share. Every single time, I am left feeling happy. Everyone is kind, inclusive and judgment free. We come together to share food because we can, we want to, not wasting any time trying to figure out if somebody “deserves” the help. We merely want to make someone smile and feel loved. 

If you are looking for an easy and amazing way to give back to your community, you found us! So I ask for your kind consideration in supporting our cause when it matters most: during Raise the Region. 

Requests are up in 2025 and we anticipate an increase in local food insecurity and the need for mutual aid as spending cuts are proposed to critical nutrition programs. 

This year, we have BIG goals to grow our impact in 2025, including establishing our own physical space to meet storage demands and host more food-sharing events.
