The acronym SUN stands for the Counties served by SUN tech!

The counties served are: 

• Snyder County
• Union County
• Northumberland County

Did you answer correctly? 

These are the 3 counties of school districts that SUN Area Technical Institute serves. Students from the Selinsgrove, Midd-West, Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, and Shikellamy school districts attend SUN Tech for their senior year to learn a Career and Technical skill from one of the 19 programs offered.

2026 Summer Career Camps

The SUN Area Career and Technology Foundation offers an exciting Summer Career Camp for students entering grades 7, 8, and 9. These hands-on camps provide an opportunity for students to explore different career pathways, engage in real-world activities, and gain valuable insights into technical education.

June 8th - 11th | 8:00am - 12:00pm 

Registration and application link will be posted on the SUN Area Technical Institute Facebook page! 

There is a $25 registration fee. 

Who Can Attend?

Priority registration is given to students residing in SUN Tech’s five sending districts:

• Lewisburg
• Midd West
• Mifflinburg
• Selinsgrove
• Shikellamy

However, students outside these districts are welcome to apply!
