The South Williamsport Fire Department, Station 5, was formed in May 2016, when former Citizens Fire Company, Station 10, and former First Ward Fire Company, Station 11, participated in a merger. The two departments combined all assets and manpower to provide the best service possible to the citizens of South Williamsport and the surrounding areas. Both former companies brought many years of history and training to the table.
