The Paternostro Cancer Foundation has been providing support to families facing cancer in Lycoming County since 2013. We are an all-volunteer organization, fueled by love!

What We Do

Financial Assistance Program: 

IMPACT: 582+ local families have received  $141K+ in direct financial assistance via direct payments to utility companies on behalf of families in need.

At My Side: "Thank you so much for your generous assistance to my electric bill. Your support means more to me than words can express. I am fortunate to have you at my side during my cancer journey."

K2 Head Cover Program: 

IMPACT: 706 free head covers provided to female patients experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment.

Paying it Forward: "I was recently diagnosed with advanced cancer and received two headcovers during my second round of chemo. I subsequently learned about your generous organization. Please accept my donation so that others may benefit." 

Harnessing Hope Care Bags: 

IMPACT: 1,232 Harnessing Hope care bags delivered to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport.

Making a Difference: "I wanted to say a sincere thank you for the Harnessing Hope Cancer Care bags. They were filled with lots of useful and thoughtful items. Enclosed please find a check for $50.00 donation to help your wonderful organization." 

Essence of You: 

IMPACT: Approximately 175+ patients have participated in the program since inception. (In partnership with the Susquehanna Health Foundation.)

A Space to Forget: "The Essence of You program has meant so much to me - it's been a true sanctuary, a space to forget for a while. In those hour events, the weight of what cancer did to me and my family seems to lift. It's a profound relief to step away from the constant management of appointments, scans, and worry. Memorial Scholarship:

IMPACT: $14K+ in scholarships to twenty-three (23) graduating seniors of Hughesville High School. 

Who We Are

The Paternostro Cancer Foundation provides much-needed support, including financial, to families facing a cancer diagnosis in Lycoming County and surrounding communities.

The Paternostro Cancer Foundation was originally founded in 2013 as the Team Kass Foundation in memory of our beautiful sister, Kathleen Paternostro Morgan, who passed from cancer in 2012 at the age of 40. The name changed to the Paternostro Family Foundation in 2015 following the untimely passing of our beloved father and local educator, Tom Paternostro, to cancer.

We became the Paternostro Cancer Foundation in November 2019 to illuminate our mission of providing assistance and support to local families facing a cancer diagnosis.

We are managed exclusively by volunteers and we rely on donors like you to help us provide assistance to local families in need.
