Nisbet Volunteer Fire Company

Pennsylvania has approximately 37,000 volunteer emergency responders. That number approached 300,000 in the 1970’s. More than half of the existing volunteers nationwide are over 40, and, 23 percent are less than age 29. From 2022 into 2024 our Junior Firefighter program (aged 14-18) jumped from 0 active, to 6 active firefighters. Donations from this year’s Raise the Region will be dedicated to give our juniors a lounge area and any additional equipment they may need. The lounge will give them an area to relax, workout, do schoolwork, and - improve our response time to emergency calls for assistance. With this addition, we hope to recruit additional Junior Firefighters, retain those we have, and boost physical health and fitness throughout the station.

Nisbet Volunteer Fire Comany, Station 7 - a local fire company in Lycoming County providing, fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to Susquehanna Township and surrounding communities.
