Montoursville Area School District Foundation

Montoursville Area School District Foundation provides support for Montoursville students to foster the love of learning with unique experiences, tools, and materials. Funding provides teacher grants to supplement and reinforce the goals of the Montoursville Area School District.  The Foundation also seeks to contribute to projects that would otherwise go unfunded. 

Recent funded projects include:

1. Metallophone for the Music Department
2. Small appliances for the FCS Department
3. 3D printers for both CE McCall Middle School and Montoursville Are High School Technology Education Departments
4. Author’s Visit to Montoursville elementary schools featuring Eric Litwin, musician and storyteller of Pete the Cat, Groovy Joe and The Nuts children’s books
5. Theater equipment for the Montoursville Area High School Technical Theater Program
6. 1st Grade project on life cycles, by incubating and hatching chicken eggs, which included an incubator, candling equipment, nesting boxes, and a chick brooder. 
7. 3rd Grade Montour Preserve Field trip in which  nets and collection basins were provided for teams of students to use to “scoop” and collect samples from the pond to study and identify using macroinvertebrate charts.
