As part of MHRA's focus on our rich heritage, we own and operate the town's first church - the historic 1806 Elias Church, which is now a performing arts center. Today, the Center presents a variety of programming and is also available for rental or tours.

Each December, MHRA hosts Winterfest at the Elias Center during the Christkindl Market. This event has become a favorite destination to stop and shop, enjoy live musical entertainment and sip on a hot buttered rum or hot toddy.

YEARLY CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING

The Elias Center for the Performing Arts plays host to a series of children's programs during the year. MHRA has held these educational programs for many years. They run from theater productions and magic shows to snakes, animals and reptiles; striving to offer something for everyone. These fun and educational shows simply cannot happen without community support. Thus, we hope to include you as a supporter and sponsor in 2025.  MHRA is grateful for any donation and we thank you for taking the time to continue sponsoring the arts in Mifflinburg.

LISTENING ROOM SERIES AT THE ELIAS CENTER

The Elias Center Listening Room Series offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the music of talented songwriters hailing from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. These intimate gatherings are meticulously curated by Pennsylvania-born songwriter Tanner Bingaman, showcasing live performances in a setting designed for beautiful acoustics and attentive listening.

DID YOU KNOW?

Children's programs at the Elias are always free for children who come with a paid adult (no limit on children, and adult admission is just $10). These programs do not provide a source of income for MHRA. Instead, monies raised from ticket sales go directly to paying utility expenses and advertising incurred from the event. The purpose of these programs is to offer quality, affordable entertainment and educational opportunities to our community youth from the comforts of their hometown.
