LCCHA with VLC

For a 3rd year, Valley Learning Community (a local homeschool cooperative) is teaming up with LCC Homeschool Association of PA as fundraising partners to support homeschooling efforts in our area. VLC is a sub organization of Maranatha Home Mission Network that is a 501(c) 3 (not for profit).

These two organizations support many of the homeschooling activities in Lycoming County. Our partnership was born out of a desire to give homeschoolers access to unique events, social activities, and educational opportunities that they might not otherwise have.

VLC and LCCHA support the following activities in and around Lycoming County:

• Homeschool Skating (quarterly)
• Homeschool Prom (5th year)
• Homeschool Graduation (6th year)
• Reduced field trips for financially needy families
• Homeschool Volleyball (for ages 10-18; 12th year)
• Homeschool Days at Kaos Fun Zone (monthly Sept to May)
• Park Days (summer gatherings)
• Presidential Service Awarding Organization (4th year)
• Homeschool Odyssey of the Mind club (2nd year competing; went from 3 teams to 5; Regional winners for elementary and high school)
• Annual Homeschool Art Show (2nd year)
• Annual Homeschool Middle School Dance (2nd year)
• Homeschool HOPE support group (started in January of 2024)
• Homeschool Bowling

New 2024/2025

• Homeschool Clay Target Shooting Team (we had 11 members of the team)
• Homeschool Annual Science Fair (38 participants; 1st year)
• Homeschool Market Place (over 50 student vendors; 1st year)
• LLCHA went to the Renaissance Faire School Days (over 100 participants)
• Partnered with River Valley Transportation for a Homeschool Public Transportation Education Day

Ideas for the 2025/2026 Year:

• Homeschool Bowling league

The funds we raised  last year went very far!! We hope to continue these items and do more for 25/26 year.
