For the Cause: Empowering Youth, Strengthening Communities 

At For the Cause, we believe in the power of young people! As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we’re all about creating opportunities, building leadership skills, and making a lasting impact. From Teen Centers and Youth Action Boards to the Academy of Young Entrepreneurs and summer food distribution, we’re here to support, inspire, and uplift the next generation.

Our Journey

What started in 2009 as the Nespoli Family Foundation and became For the Cause in 2012—expanding our mission to reach more youth and communities. In 2014, we took another big step by launching a food distribution program to combat food insecurity and ensure that local families have the support they need.

Berwick and Bloomsburg Teen Centers

Our Teen Centers are a free youth-led drop-in program that offers enriching opportunities for youth in grades 6-12 to bolster real-world skills, academics, mental health, and social well-being. 

A Hub for Youth Empowerment

The centers also makes a positive impact for teens by putting youth at the forefront of delivering service projects through three Youth Action Boards operating in both Berwick, Benton and Bloomsburg. Youth Action Board (YAB) provides youth a unique hands-on leadership program designed to teach responsibility and to develop critical leadership skills through innovation and service.

As a parent organization, we provide the foundation for life-changing programs that give teens access to education, leadership training, and personal growth opportunities. By working alongside schools, businesses, and community leaders, we’re helping young people thrive and create their own paths to success.

🍎 $25 – Feeds 15 teens for a day

📚 $50 – Provides tutoring for 5 teens per week

🧠 $75 – Supports counseling services for 5 teens per week

🎤 $100 – Funds leadership training for 10 teens per week

🎨 $300 – Powers STEM & Expressive Arts programs for 15 teens per week
