Fishing Creek Players, Inc.

Fishing Creek Players Inc is a 501c3 incorporated non-profit theatrical group dedicated to bringing arts and entertainment to the Northern Columbia Region of Pennsylvania. Our 8 member board of directors are busy working on bringing the next theatrical event to our area and we’d love to have your help! 

In July of 2009 the Northern Columbia Community and Cultural Center sponsored a festival in Benton Park to commemorate a Civil War event. M.R. Daniels wrote and directed a one act play, The Dividing Line, which was met with great success and provided a taste of Community Theater in the area. The cast decided it was too much fun to end there, and so The Fishing Creek Players was formed as an outlet for a performing art activity for established and developing talents of all ages. 

Fishing Creek Players is not just about acting. Theater encompasses so many skills that even the stage-fearing members have an active role. Advertising specialists, a refreshment committee, hair stylist and makeup devotees, seamstresses and program managers are all essential.
