Family Planning Services

Family Planning Services is a local nonprofit focused on providing confidential, accessible, and high quality services through reproductive health to improve the quality of life and well-being of the community. The caring staff seeks to help couples plan families when they are ready, improve pregnancy outcomes, reduce unintended pregnancy, slow the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, detect cancer at early and curable stages, and educate the community about general health maintenance, sexuality, and reproductive health.  We provide services to patients with or without health insurance and do so with a sliding scale based on household size and income.  Some patients are eligible to receive free services and many patients are eligible for discounted pricing for the same high quality healthcare that they would receive at their local GYN.  Family Planning also provides education, counseling, screening, and testing related to women’s health conditions and menstrual services.  Family Planning provides health screenings including breast and cervical cancer screening, STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) screening, wellness screening (e.g., high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes etc.) and vaccination.  Family Planning provides information and education about the importance and availability CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommended vaccines (HPV, RSV for pregnant women, Flu, TDap, COVID, etc.).  Family Planning provides period packs with menstrual products and is starting to provide free baby diapers to clients in 2024.  Family planning provides education around STI’s and HIV and free at-home STI and HIV testing.  Our Community Health Workers work with other nonprofits to identify referral sources and coordinate referrals and linkages to follow-up services for better patient care.
