Union County Giving Closet

The Union County Giving Closet, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in downtown Lewisburg, is dedicated to providing new and gently used clothing and shoes for children from newborn to 18 years of age, whose families are enrolled in the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Through the generosity of supporters like you, we are able to do more than fill closets- we help children walk into their classrooms with confidence, play with pride, and grow knowing their community cares. Your support makes it possible for us to continue this important work and change lives, one child at a time.  

Your support ensures that children in need are provided with essential clothing, boosting their confidence and well-being. Each child enrolled in our program receives a seasonal, biannual clothing package that includes: 7 outfits, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of pajamas, 1 new pack of socks and 1 new pack of underwear. We fill as many as 150 clothing requests per season- that's more than 2,000 outfits lovingly provided per year! With the support of our community and donors like you, we continue making a difference in the lives of children and their families from Union, Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, and Snyder Counties. 

We are excited to be participating in Raise the Region again this year and aim to raise $5,000 to purchase clothing and shoes for children in need. Every dollar contributed directly impacts a child's life, providing them with the attire they need for school and their daily activities.
