Support Bloomsburg Public Library During Raise the Region!

More than just books, we're building connections, sparking imaginations, and improving lives in Columbia County. Join us!

Remember that feeling of discovering a new world between the pages of a book? Or the excitement of learning a new skill? At Bloomsburg Public Library, we're making those moments happen every single day. We're not just a building filled with books; we're a vibrant hub where our community thrives. Together with our partners Columbia County Traveling Library and Orangeville Public Library, we serve everyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Columbia County.

What Your Support Makes Possible:

Little Sparks, Big Dreams:

Imagine the giggles during our weekly preschool Storytime Stay and Play, or the wide-eyed wonder of babies at Mother Goose on the Loose. We're nurturing a love for learning from the very start.

For older kids, think creative builds at Builder Buddies, hands-on fun with Mobile Maker Space with the Bloomsburg Children's Museum, heartwarming tales with furry friends from Cats in Bloom, and the gentle comfort of reading to therapy dogs in our Sit, Stay, READ! program.

Teen Hangouts & Game Nights:

We're creating a safe and fun space for emerging teens to connect with Gaming Club, Teen Library Club, and board game nights. It's more than just games; it's building friendships and community. When our teens get older, we introduce them to the Teen Center in Bloomsburg.

Community Connections for Adults:

Whether you're looking for free tech help, book clubs, a space to share your writing or photography, poetry gatherings, or support for pregnant and nursing mothers, we've got something for you! We are a gathering place for all ages.

Feel like playing a game? We have weekly Chess Club, Bridge Club, Traditional and American Mahjong, Pinochle, board game nights, and Dungeons & Dragons!

Digital Doors Wide Open:

Dive into a world of knowledge and entertainment with our extensive online library, with free ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from Libby; movies and TV through Kanopy Plus; and graphic novels with Comics Plus! We're making digital resources accessible to everyone in Columbia County.

Tech Studio: Where Innovation Meets Fun!

Step into our Tech Studio for super fast computers and gaming consoles. It's a place for gamers, learners, and anyone looking for a bit of digital adventure.

Community Hub & Lifelong Learning:

We're more than a library; we're a community center. Our living room is your living room, where you can hang out with your friends, read a book, or use the internet. Our meeting spaces are open to community groups for gatherings and to anyone else for book clubs or board games. Our shared space fosters collaboration and connection.

Why Raise the Region Matters:

Last year, thanks to your incredible support, we expanded our reach and impact. But to keep the magic alive, we need your help. We rely on your generosity, as government funding does not cover our operating costs. We're aiming to raise $100,000 this year to keep Bloomsburg Public Library running. The total needed for all three libraries is $250,000. We encourage you to support our partner libraries: Columbia County Traveling Library and Orangeville Public Library.

Every dollar you donate during Raise the Region on March 11th and 12th gets amplified by generous sponsors like Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships! It's a fantastic way to make your contribution go even further.

Join us in building a stronger community: We're more than just a place to borrow books. We're a vital community resource, a place where everyone is welcome and where lifelong learning is celebrated. Your support allows us to continue providing these essential services and programs.
