The Susquehanna Valley Region of Special Olympics Pennsylvania empowers children and adults with intellectual disabilities to grow through year-round sports training and competition across Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Tioga, and Union counties.
Our athletes gain confidence, physical fitness, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships — and their families and communities are strengthened along the way. Because of generous community support, all programs are provided free of charge, ensuring that every athlete can participate regardless of financial ability.
Raise the Region support helps us:
Expand team sports and individual coaching opportunities
Recruit and train volunteer coaches and Unified partners
Provide equipment, uniforms, and facility access
Cover transportation and event costs so athletes can compete and belong
Your support fuels more than athletic growth — it helps us build inclusive communities where every person is valued, supported, and celebrated.
The mission of Special Olympics Pennsylvania is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
