Susquehanna Valley Preschool

It is our belief at Susquehanna Valley Preschool that enthusiasm for learning begins early in a child's life. Susquehanna Valley Preschool strives to make the first learning experience enjoyable and positive. Our goal is to provide a strong educational foundation upon which to build our students future. Susquehanna Valley Preschool offers a program in which learning is fun and exciting. The classroom is set up to have different stations, each set up for different activities and styles of learning. Preschool "work and play" activities include circle time, story time, Bible time. snack time, small group, large group, arts /crafts, fine and gross motor skills as well as free play.  Themed lessons include also science experiments, Bible lessons, math and reading activities .Special guests visit our program such as the fire company,  Our program runs 5 days a week as follows:

*Our Caterpillar class (3 year olds) is in session Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The program runs September through May. Our Caterpillar class is more geared toward social skills and early learning basics such as sharing, learning the ABCs and counting.

*Our Butterfly Class (4 and 5 year olds) is in session Monday, Wednesday and Friday form 9:00am to 12:00pm. The program runs September through May. Our Butterfly class focuses on kindergarten readiness such as reading, patterning and math skills.

At Susquehanna Valley Preschool our staff believes that sharing God's Word is as just as crucial as the math/reading readiness that we teach our students for their kindergarten readiness. We understand going to kindergarten can be an exciting but scary experience.  We have faith that when we equipe students with God's Word they will be comforted knowing God is with them even at this scary time.

Susquehanna Valley Preschool is a ministry of Christ Community United Methodist Church and one of our primary goals at this time is Susquehanna Valley Preschool become self-sufficient. The Raise the Region event is a valuable asset to help us attain this goal.
