Susquehanna Valley Law Enforcement Camp Cadet

Susquehanna Valley Law Enforcement Camp Cadet (SVLECC), a non-profit organization providing a structured week-long camp to area youth ages 12 to 15 years old. The Pennsylvanian State Police, Troop F, Milton, Selinsgrove, and Stonington along with other Law Enforcement agencies host this program solely through individual and business donations. During this week-long camp, our cadets are instilled with lifelong values of teamwork, discipline, self-esteem, and leadership skills. Each year, approximately 75 youth participate in a nonstop structured residential camp that motivates a shift in their mindset to help them succeed in everything they do. Youth that graduate from this program attest that they complete more in one week than most of their peers do in an entire summer, all at no cost to the cadet other than a $35 registration fee.

SVLECC is a registered 501(c)3 and is only possible through tax-deductible financial contributions from individuals, businesses and grants. This year, SVLECC is committed to securing sponsorships that will allow every youth in our area equitable and inclusive access to the opportunities and resources that our camp provides. To do this, the board members of the SVLECC hopes to gain support to waive the registration fee for all participants to remove barriers that might keep youth from attending our camp. We also strive to inspire life-long fitness and health among the other skillsets. SVLECC has increased our educational programing for 2024 to include motivational speakers, mental health and suicide prevention programming, Stop-The-Bleed training, Health effects of Vaping, and additional presentations on careers within law enforcement.
