Regional Engagement Center

The Regional Engagement Center (REC) opened in 2017 and has served hundreds of Susquehanna Valley youth and families over the years through its Free After School and Summer Drop-In Program for youth in grades 3-12. The REC's Drop-In Program served over 340 youth last school year and has over 300 registered this year. Our daily attendance averages 45 youth. They come from 3-6pm after school and 12-6pm during the summer for food, tutoring and mentoring, mental health resources, social and physical recreation, and educational and leadership opportunities through clubs. Families are able to work longer, commute further, or take care of other families members knowing their children are safe and secure during the out of school time hours. Community members can stay healthy by attending weekday exercise classes that are SilverSneakers approved. The REC provides a twice a week food distribution program to any community member in need.
