The Newberry Community Partnership, board members and volunteers, want to express our gratitude and appreciation for your support during "Raise the Region" and throughout the year.   You make our days!    Our most recent activities were the Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Visit in December and the 2024 annual Newberry Neighborhood Cleanup in April.  We are planning the Newberry EARTH Clean-Up for April 19, 2025.  Please join us.  Also feel free to stop by our 913 Diamond Street office for our next meeting.  Meeting dates will be posted on Facebook.  Look for NCPCommunity.  We want to hear from you.  ALso, check out the first InsideNewberry issue of 2025 at insideNewberry – The People's Paper For Williamsport's West End. The NCP's goal is to make Williamsport, starting with the West End, a better place to live. Just cannot do it without you.

What do we do?

☺create and distribute the free “InsideNewberry” quarterly Newsletter,
☺ worked with Lonza to provide a “What to do in case of a Chemical Emergency” magnet,
☺ spearhead the only railroad crossing, “QUIET ZONE (rail horn noise) Ordinance” in Williamsport,
☺ regularly meet with City Officials to advocate for Newberry,
☺ hold two, yearly “Trash Pick Ups, Clean Ups”,
☺ acquired grants for the “Newberry-Elm Street Property Repair Program”, for planting trees on Race Street, and for Student Art Murals and Newberry Street Light Banners,
☺ we fought for replacement trees on West Fourth...and most of the removed trees have been replaced
☺ host Events & Celebrations such as the “Light of Liberty Birthday Party”, “Business Exposition”, “Christmas Tree Lighting”...and many more activities!
Again, thank you. You make a real difference. NCP

Who We Are

THE NEWBERRY COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP (NCP) promotes connections that bring neighbors together. The NCP aspires to help Newberry be a neighborhood filled with people that recognize the importance of stewardship, cooperation, and community values, and to distinguish Newberry as a hometown haven within the City of Williamsport. Our goal is to make Newberry (and Jaysburg) a better place to live and work, with safe, clean streets, green trees, increased home ownership and thriving small businesses. Making West End the Best End! In 2019 we received funding under the Robinson Cultural Grant for Street Banners designed by WAHS students and we are currently working with the City of Williamsport and PennDOT to get the 51 West 4th Street Trees that were removed, replanted! Our next event is the "Spring Clean Up" on April 19th, 2025. Meet us at Diamond Square near the West End Christian Community Center. We will provide bags, gloves, safety vests and pizza!   HEY Do you have an upcoming event you would like to see featured in the InsideNewberry newsletter?
