Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Company

Located at 932 E Penn St., Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Company provides emergency services to Muncy Borough, Muncy Creek Township, Moreland Township, Anthony Township-Montour Co, and other local communities as requested by neighboring fire departments. MAVFC serves a large portion of the east end of Lycoming County. Organized in 2011 as the result of a merger between Keystone Hook and Ladder (in Muncy Borough) and Muncy Creek Community Fire Co (in Clarkstown/Muncy Creek Township).   

We currently provide Fire, Rescue, EMS, and Water Rescue services, utilizing a variety of apparatus and technology. Our department is organized by community members who selflessly contribute thousands of volunteer hours, annually. Although many aspects of the fire service stay the same year after year, we are dedicated to continuously training and upgrading equipment with the demands of the fire service and as national standards recommend. With the endless training and equipment improvements comes a great cost. Our membership spends time analyzing necessity of purchases to effectively invest community, state, and national funds given to MAVFC.

Aside from financial contributions, we are accepting applications for membership. If you have interest in joining our organization, weekly training is held Monday nights, please don't hesitate to stop in- meet our members and see what we do!  You might even leave with an application! :)
