LCHIC, Inc./Youth Development Task Force

uth Development Task Force (YDTF), developed in 1998, is funded by the Lycoming County Health Improvement Coalition, Inc which organized in 1994. The Coalition is a grassroots 501c3 organization dedicated to improving the health and safety status of citizens of Lycoming County by identifiying and facilitating innovative and evidence-based programs.  For these past decades, YDTF has successfully implemented a "Find Your Anti-Drug" and "Find  Your Worth" campaigns. These positive behavior models and positive mental health messaging campaigns were carried on by senior high school youth from all nine Lycoming County school districts.  These YDTF school ambassadors meet monthly during the school year to identify issues affecting our youth organizing responses to dangers of substance abuse and promoting positive mental health. Elected student officers run their meetings and organized committees to impact change. In May 2025, YDTF will sponsor the "Kickin' it with Cops" event for county-wide 7th grade youth from nine other schools in a friendly kickball tournament with School Resource Officers and other County law enforcement officers providing positive encouragement and support.
