$3,000 Goal

This region is in desperate need of a groundbreaking movement to tackle its stray cat problem - a problem which most of its municipalities are failing to adequately address. Kind Animal Rescue is one of many local rescues who are making a difference despite not having much-needed funding from our local governments. Last year in the town of Milton alone, Kind Animal Rescue fully funded the spays and neuters of over 200 community cats. In December, we reached out to the Milton Borough Manager for financial assistance for residents who want to help reduce the stray cat population but who can't afford all the costs involved. We offered to launch a low-cost spay and neuter program in conjunction with our veterinarian, specifically designed for Milton residents, and requested funding from the borough. Although we were hopeful for a positive response, the Borough Manager never got back to us with an answer. Despite their lack of support, we will continue our mission.

Unfortunately, local governments of our region, including our hometown of Milton, are counting on small, low-funded rescues like ours to make a profound impact in controlling the stray cat population. Because most local governments are not allocating funding, small animal rescues must continually ask their neighbors to donate in support of our mission to decrease the numbers of unfixed stray cats through our trap, neuter, and return (TNR) efforts.

Our mission is twofold: to reduce the number of stray cats in our region and to alleviate their suffering. This Raise the Region fundraising campaign serves as a catalyst for our spay and neuter initiatives, with an unwavering commitment to serving as many community cats as possible throughout the remainder of 2025. With your donations we will be able to help fund local trappers, recognizing their selfless contributions to their individual TNR efforts. Additionally, newcomers to the TNR community of trappers/rescuers will find a supportive ally in us, as we will also allocate your donations to provide essential resources and funding to help facilitate their work. Lastly, your donations will also allow us to help low-income individuals who have taken in stray cats by providing them with the necessary resources to ensure these animals receive the medical care they deserve.

Since we come across so many friendly stray cats, we decided as part of forming our 501c3 in February 2024, that a "cat cafe" featuring our adoptable strays would be constructed as part of our community work. Two months ago, The Cat Gallery of Milton officially opened at 420 Hepburn Street in Milton. Our fun and vibrant version of a "cat cafe" is open daily from 10am to 12pm and from 5pm to 8pm. Our facility is over 2,000 square feet and, besides our Cat Gallery, also features numerous rooms for quarantining new intakes, sick cats, or injured/recovering cats. Please visit, “like”, and follow Kind Animal Rescue's Facebook page to stay informed about our adoptable rescued cats and enjoy heartwarming photos and videos of our feline friends at The Cat Gallery.

With your generous support, Kind Animal Rescue will continue its mission to alleviate animal suffering, providing a vital lifeline for our community members across the entire region. We are deeply grateful for the on-going funding of our loyal donors and warmly welcome the support of new contributors.
