Jersey Shore Summer Recreation

The Jersey Shore Summer Recreation program is happy to announce that we will again be providing fun for the summer of 2025.  We were fortunate this past summer to be able to continue to offer our program to 85 children and the families of the Jersey Shore area. The Jersey Shore Summer Recreation program is open to all children that have completed kindergarten through 5th grades, who live within the Jersey Shore School District boundaries.  

A safe, summer, fun-filled program starts at $400 per child, which does not include exciting field trips, but does usually cover the cost of going to the pool three days a week. We were able to secure funding from local businesses and personal donors, that allowed campers to attend a great field trip to Del Grosso’s during the last week, last year. We hope, with your help, we will be able to provide more fun this year!

We organized several fundraising events to get the kids, and their families involved last summer. A shoe drive, collecting and bagging 100 bags of 25 pairs of shoes. That fundraiser ended August 9th, fulfilling that goal. We teamed up for a community night at Phil It Up on June 27th and also with Tiadaghton Embroidery for an apparel sale. Then, on July 13th we were at Buttorffs Hardware for a car wash. We plan to expand on these FUNdraising efforts for the 2025 year.

Our program has remained true to our mission statement: To provide an outreach to children of the Jersey Shore and surrounding area to meet the physical, social, emotional, recreational, spiritual, and life enrichment needs. Securing funding is a struggle every year, but even more so the past few years with the challenging economic struggles that have plagued our society and communities.  We humbly request that you consider making a donation to support this wonderful program that provides much needed support to the children and their families that live within our communities.
