Hepburn Township is at the center of Lycoming County and is bordered by Gamble Township to the north, Eldred Township to the east and Loyalsock Township to the south. The western border with Lewis and Lycoming townships. The Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company seeks to provide protection and safety for our citizens and visitors by preparing and promoting fire prevention, education, and by preserving life, property, and the environment. We continue to serve our community by fire suppression, rescue operations, emergency medical services, and the correct handling of hazardous material incidents while at the same time, recognizing our people as the key to success. The Hepburn Volunteer Fire Company serves all of Hepburn Township and parts of Lycoming Township in its first due coverage area. We also serve as a mutual aid department to Loyalsock Township, Trout Run, Old Lycoming Township, Ralston, and many others. We cater to a total area of 37 square miles (43.4 km2). The township's unincorporated communities include Balls Mills, Cogan Station, Haleeka, Hepburn Heights, Hepburnville, and Powys (also in Lewis Township.) Our coverage area houses around 4500 residents. Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company thanks the citizens of Hepburn and Lycoming Township for their support of our fire company! Without you, what we do would not be possible.
