Danville Business Alliance

Money raised for the Danville Business Alliance (DBA) returns to our community. The DBA works to make Danville a destination location by focusing on encouraging downtown development projects, supporting the growth of local businesses, orchestrating events that bring vibrancy to downtown Danville, enhancing the quality of life and promoting the uniqueness of our community's history, architecture, arts and culture, and riverfront location.

Again this year, the DBA is fundraising to support the
Danville School Community Park Project.

In collaboration with representatives from the Danville Area School District, Danville Area Community Center, the Montour Area Recreation Commission, the Foundation for the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce, and community leaders, we are continuing to revitalize six acres of undeveloped green space on the Middle School property to create a school and community public park for the education, health, wellness, and recreation of Danville students and residents. More than $225,000 has already been raised for this project, with 45 trees planted, a community garden built, and a 200-foot-long mural added to the site last year. 

To complete fundraising for Phase Two and continue to improve the site in Spring 2024, we need your help! This year’s chief fundraising goal is for play equipment in the park. In the concept rendering below, three large play structures, several swings of different accessible styles, and a wheelchair-accessible whirl are placed over a surface that includes traditional playground mulch and poured-in-place rubber.

The DBA will only be able to accomplish our $20,000 Raise the Region fundraising goal with the support of donations from the community. We have six suggested giving levels for you, or you can choose your own amount. Every dollar counts! All donors will receive name recognition on permanent signage within the park and the project website, www.danvillepark.org.
