Our Work

Advance Central PA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization proudly serving as the designated Workforce Development Board for nine counties: Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union. Our dedicated team is committed to strengthening the region’s workforce by equipping job seekers with valuable skills, creating opportunities for young people, and helping businesses stay competitive.

We oversee programs that ensure businesses remain competitive and grow jobs, empower workers to achieve self-sufficiency through skill development, and support economically resilient communities. Committed to a demand-driven workforce system, we aim to attract and grow businesses while advancing Central Pennsylvania’s economy.

Our mission is to unify, coordinate, integrate, and align workforce activities, resources, and initiatives to support economic sustainability, improve education systems, and develop and retain a quality skilled labor force. Guided by our vision, we strive to be the premiere agency for workforce development strategies, driving systematic change, resource integration, and continuous improvement across the region.
